This is the most famous beach of Skiathos, therefore the most crowded. It is well-known for its extremely fine white sand and its fragrant pine trees forest from which the region took its name. It is considered as the most unspoiled natural beach of the Mediterranean and is a protected environment. The beautiful crystal-clear deep blue waters are a real pleasure. Since the beach is well-organized, it offers many water sports, chairs, umbrellas, beach bars. The region around the beach is full of restaurants, taverns and hotel units. A local bus links this beach to the capital every 30 minutes. A biotope can be found in the pine forest boarding the beach where different species of plants and birds are protected. This place, as well as the beach, is developed for ecotourism, financed by the Municipality and the European Union.

resortul de nota 10: noi am stat in apartament; a fost curat (zilnic a venit cineva si a facut curatenie), foarte confortabil, placut, cu tot ce am avut nevoie, iar peisajul in care e amplasata vila e foaaaarte frumos; am avut toate facilitatile la doi pasi: statia de autobuz, supermarketul, taverne, iar drumul prin rezervatie pana la plaja e scurt si e o excursie in sine. nu am nimic ce sa reprosez resortului care, prin farmecul lui, te facea sa te simti in Grecia. as reveni cu mare drag aici.

Lini?te, cu multa verdeata (padure), cu trasee unde poti sa te plimbi, sa alergi sau sa mergi cu bicicleta, distan?a destul de mica de Skiathos town unde este portul principal ?i de unde po?i pleca in diferite excursii cu vaporul pentru a vizita zone deosebite.

Koukounaries town is quiet, no to big nice local restaurants ( I can mention the big Bad Wolf, Strofilia restaurant, Under the Pine and alaMar Mediteranean ) - Skiathos town - a lot of restaurants, nice for visit in the evening Beaches: - Koukounaries beach a beautiful and large beach, 2 beaches bar, 10Euro/umbrella/day, fine sand , recomanded for families and kids - Martha beach - generally the same like koukounaries beach ... but a little small - Lalaria beach - great view and bleu sea ... nice to be visited few hours only via boat from the Skiathos port / 15Euro/adult ( free for kids ), No umbrella on the beach. - agia Eleni beach - the best sunset

Insula este superba, cu multe activitati pe care le poti face. Plajele sunt absolut spectaculoase, unele cu nisip, altele cu pietre. Orasul Skiathos este pitoresc, cu multa animatie, peisaje cu deschidere la mare care iti taie respiratia. Preturile sunt pe masura frumusetii insulei :).

Destul de multe taverne cu mancare buna, servita foarte repede ?i chelneri prieteno?i. inainte sa merg acolo imi faceam griji ca zona este cam izolata ?i ca nu vom avea unde sa ne plimbam prin jur, insa nu a fost cazul. Este adevarat ca zona Koukounaries nu seamana cu sta?iunile de pe litoralul romanesc, de exemplu, in ceea ce prive?te magazinele ?i divertismentul, insa este ideala pentru relaxare, iar daca vrei sa ie?i seara sa savurezi un desert sau sa bei ceva, clar ai aceasta posibilitate. De asemenea, exista o linie de autobuz cu 26 de sta?ii (vila se afla in dreptul sta?iei 25) care leaga aceasta zona de Skiatos town la pre?ul de 2 euro de persoana (din 15 in 15 minute, de la 7 diminea?a la 1 noaptea), ceea ce va ofera posibilitatea sa vizita?i ora?ul sau alte plaje.
