Hotel Skites is situated next to the sea, 650 m from the border of Mount Athos, 850 m from the village of Ouranoupolis and 139 km from Thessaloniki airport.
The whitewashed bungalows, barely visible from the main path are surrounded by green pinewoods and flowering gardens. The tasteful simplicity of the interior decoration follows the main construction concept. All room types are equiped with bathroom with a shower
stall, hair dryer, air-condition, mini-bar, direct telephone-line connection and mosquito nets. An additional bed for a child is possible. TVs are deliberately excluded from this serene set up. The main building stretches over three levels connected by a marvelous
green patio. On the lower level, the reception area is part of a tasteful living-room, furnished with handsome traditional pieces. In the upper level a big fireplace sweetens the chilly spring and fall evenings. In between, next to the small interior bar for
drinks and refreshments, wide balcony doors fold to lead to the exterior spaces which are embraced by huge red flowers. Here, on the two terrasses overlooking the sea, the owners of Skites run a restaurant offering exquisite Greek home-cooked meals, renowned
all over Chalkidiki for their quality and taste. The restaurant is open for lunch as well as for dinner. A part of the garden leads to the seafront. The beach is mostly covered with stones and pebbles. The suites are made of a bedroom and a spacious living
room.
