About Theoxenia, Missolonghi - presentation of hotel, facilities and services offered

This hotel was built in one of the most beautiful places of important cultural hub of Orthodoxy and respecting the monastic architecture in Thessaloniki. The complex is located two kilometers from Ouranoupoli Halkidiki, near the Holy Mountain front in the blue Aegean. Some rooms overlook the sea and the island "Ammouliani", some the pools of the hotel and others the hills and dense vegetation of the peninsula of Athos. The fully equipped rooms are comfortable and functional, offering visitors, coupled with excellent cuisine, a pleasant and memorable stay. About Missolonghi

It becomes known in history in the 16th century just before the sea battle of Nafpaktos on 7 October 1571. During the pre-Christian period in this area of Messolonghi there were 3 ancient towns. They were Kalidona, which is now Evinohori, Plevrona, now called Castle of Kira -Rinis and Alikirna which is now Hilia Spitia built just below the historical monastery of St-Simeon .
