Only 80 km away from Athens, the city of the sacred fountain of Arethousa is the main gate to the island of Evia. The city is approximately 70 km away from the Greek capital, Athens. The journey takes 45 minutes by car. The city can also be reached by bus or train (www.ose.gr). There is also a suburban railway connection. If you choose to travel by car, take the E75 Athens-Lamia National Road towards Lamia and then follow the road signs for Chalkida.
