About Sithonia Sykia - presentation, information, photos and recommendations
The Sykia beach is lined with organized camping sites. There aren’t any larger hotel complexes here, but there are good options for apartments, rooms and studios. Just be aware that Sikia is spread out, so not all accommodations are close to the beach and you may have to walk some distance if you don’t have a car.
There are plenty of great beaches within a few kilometres of Sykia. Head south to some of the smaller beaches like Pigadaki and try the tavernas, which specialize in amazing seafood dishes.
The main Sykia beach has more taverns and restaurants to enjoy.
The stone structures of the old windmills of Sykia, found on the main beach can make a good photo op. Take a hike above the town of Sikia to see the ruins of the castle that serves as a monument to the people that once settled this region.
Go to Kriaritsi beach, an amazing sandy beach with crystal clear waters perfect for swimming. On the way to Kriaritsi see the maze of paved roads, which were made some years back for a massive resort but have since been abandoned. (check it out on google maps, amazing stuff)
Sithonia Sykia | Sykia (or Sikia) is a historical village in Sithonia located about 3 kilometres inland and up the mountain from Sykia beach. The whole area is considered Sikia with many small beach settlements along the coast
