Roda recieved a rating of 4.5 / 5 from Direct Booking customers (21 reviews during - ). Customer reviews about Roda, Corfu island
Once a quiet fishing village, Roda has become a favourite holiday resort with families who delight in the long sandy beach and safe shallow water. Roda is on a fertile plain at the base of olive-clad hills & surrounded by the verdant hills and valleys of Pantokratoras, Corfu’s highest peak.
The area is blessed with a perfect climate, with long hot summer days tempered by cooling breezes from the sea. Being a resort for all ages, Roda’s streets and waterfront are far more likely to be thronged with families enjoying themselves than late night revellers. Roda has clean beaches, a good cross-section of accommodation, fine tavernas and restaurants, bars with entertain-ment and a good choice of shops.
There are plenty of delightful walks, watersports, pony treks and excursions available for those wanting a degree of activity. With so many places of interest to visit on the Island, there is a plethora of trips and tours that can be enjoyed using Roda as a base. There is any number of ways of exploring Corfu, whether you want to sit back and let somebody else do the driving or find your own way around. Roda has a wide range of vehicles for hire if you prefer to go it alone.
If you just want to be lazy, then that’s perfect. With sunbeds and parasols for rent just a step or two from the seafront and over twenty-five free pools within a few minutes of each other, relaxation is assured. If it’s history that you are interested in then in & around the village there are the fascinating archaeological remains of earlier civilisations, testament to the long reputation of Corfu being the ‘emerald isle’ of the Ionian.
