Paleokastritsa has long been considered one of the most beautiful villages in Corfu isle and is a renowned greek beauty spot. Paleokastritsa is chiefly memorable for the excepcional scenery along with all the superb beaches. While staying in Paleokastritsa holiday resort you can swim & relax at 6six different secluded sandy and fine pebble beaches enclosed by tall cliffs, wooded headlands, olive groves, orange, lemon and cypress trees and lush hilly countryside.

Paleokastritsa is situated 16miles north-west of Corfu attractive capital, Kerkyra. The resort runs along the coast road that winds among the cliffs and sheltered bays.
Favourite walks are up to the promontory farthest north to find the charming Theotokos monastery, the 13th century Venetian Castrizza San Angelo, and to the hills beyond. You can reach Aghios Georgios with its immense beach by water-taxi. There are plenty of boat trips from Paleokastritsa beach. Add variety to your holidays in Paleokastritsa by visiting Lakones and other hillside villages, where you will find quiet traditional Corfu charm & memorable travernas.
Tavernas and accommodation are scattered around the resort, many in excellent locations. Paleokastritsa is not for those seeking lots of lively nightlife but there are plenty of tavernas, bars and a couple of discos to keep you busy if you wish, as Paleokastritsa has been a British favouritefor years.

Probabil cea mai frumoasa statiune din Corfu, foarte buna apa de inot. Din cauza ca este foarte turistica preturile sunt putin peste medie dar sunt si taverne bune. Recomand Limani si Meraklis.

Paleokastritsa - cea mai frumoasa zona/sta?iune din Corfu merita vazuta. Plaja este amenajata , o parte din ea apar?ine hotelului ?i se num. akron Beach Bar&Restaurant( ?ezlongurile sunt reduse de la 15 la 10 euro daca e?ti cazat la akrotiri) acolo am mancat cel mai bun burger de pui ?i cei mai buni linguini cu dovlecei ?i parmezan. Prime?ti ?i o sticla de apa de 1 L cand rezervi ?ezlongurile. apa este destul de rece, mai ales pt genul feminin iar plaja este Pietroasa cu f pu?in nisip. ai posibilitatea sa inchiriezi hidrobicicleta, sa faci snorkeling sau scuba-diving ( portul este in aceea?i zona ?i am inchiriat o barca cu motor pt 140 Euro/ benzina inclusa - am vizitat toate plajele salbatice sau greu accesibile dar ?i grotele). Primele 4 zile le-am petrecut numai aici... zona era mult prea frumoasa. Ca un minus spre deosebire de thassos sau Lefkada nu pot spune ca exista o faleza cu boutiquri sau terase( toate frumos insirate, pe care sa le vizitezi seara la pas, dupa cina) ?i asta pt ca zona este situata de versantul stancos, chiar abrupt ?i toate strazile ?erpuiesc de-alungul lui. Per ansamblu zona este ff frumoasa , cu vegeta?ie luxurianta , cu apa ff cristalina ?i turcoaz ...deci unica in tot Corfu.

Un peisaj superb, dar la capitolul plaje zero. Nu este recomandata pentru persoane in varsta, familiilor cu copii mici si celor care sunt obisnuiti cu plaje generoase si confortabile. Plajele lasa de dorit, mici, cu bolovani, ape adanci si reci. Nu exista trotuare in statiune.

Paleokastrita este cea mai inverzita statiune din insula, peisajele sunt superbe! Se merita de vazut o data. Putin cam dificil de mers la alte plaje, autobuzele sunt aprox din ora in ora, dar se merge in orasul Corfu (Kerkyra), iar de acolo altul pana la destinatie, se pierd cam 2h un drum. Cu masina proprie cred ca ar fi mai ok, sunt si de inchiriat dar au conditii cam exigente.
