Messonghi is a former fishing village that retains its charm somewhat, even though, along with Moraitika, which is separated only by a river, has become one of the most popular resorts in the south of Corfu. Messonghi, hidden by green hills and olive groves, is suitable for young couples and families looking for a place to relax.
Messonghi beach is sandy, with gravel in some areas, and offers a wonderful view. From here you can see the coast of Greece, to the east and Albania to the north, is an excellent location to enjoy the sunrise. Surrounded by green hills, the beach is not very large, but there are enough sun beds with umbrellas (6-8 euros), changing rooms and showers, and along the strip of sand you will find many taverns and bars. The water is very clean and calm, perfect for snorkeling and other water activities. On the beach of Messonghi you will find as many entertainment options as in other popular resorts of Corfu: from pedalos for hire (about 10 euros), up to parasailing (25 euros). Boats are moored on the river Messonghi and if you are interested to walk with a motor boat (35 euros) you will surely find what there looking for.
In the center of Messonghi resort will find shops where they sell all kinds souvenirs and beach products. Taverns, bars and some nightclubs are scattered through the resort always ready to attract new customers with diversified menus, sweet cocktail evening party with karaoke and dancing. For a wide variety of clubs and bars to cross the river Messonghi Moraitika, where the life "night" is more hectic.

Messonghi | The town is 22 km away from Corfu, in a pitoresque olive trees landscape, with sand &pebble beaches, shops and restaurants and a nice lake, Korission (25 km ). An ideal place for relaxing, recommended for families with children
