Gefyra largest Liapades beach is 1.2 kilometers away from the old village. However, near the tourist area of Liapades developed with hotels, taverns and shops. Gefyra, is just 100 meters long and is framed by rocks covered with greenery. Beach sand and gravel but has everything you need to accommodate tourists. There are several tavernas, sunbeds and umbrellas (not many) and from here you can rent boats, taxi boats or canoes. The water in the bay is clean, but sometimes not very deep. For those looking for a larger beach with many activities Glyfada beach is the nearest. The beach is famous for its fine sand and scenery that it offers.
The most interesting part of the site is that here there are 15 small beaches of sand or gravel others hidden along the shoreline. Some can only be reached by water (beaches Paradise and Glyko), but most can be reached on foot by following paths through the olive trees and cypresses (beaches that Rovine, Klimatia, Liniodoro or Limni). The beaches are very small, but very beautiful, being isolated and wild. On many of them you only know the locals, so if you discover them, you warrant that you will not bother anyone here.
Liapades Village is the perfect location for tourists hiking enthusiasts. If you go there you should not miss a walk on the hills covered with olive groves, in search of hidden beaches. Hiking (NS Walking Trail) is indicated with a small yellow diamond or a yellow arrow drawn on rocks or walls. The whole area around the village is a maze of paths and trails leading to the coast, the beaches hidden Glyko, Rovine, Limni, Klimatia, Liniodoros that extend for a distance of four kilometers from the village. Start hiking intersection is the largest in the village. Then follow the road to the beach Gefyra and then go to the left, opposite a supermarket.
Offer water activities on the beach in Liapades is also limited. There is only option to rent canoes or boats (it platesete and fuel - 2 euros per liter) or boarding the boat-taxi (about 30 euros) which will take you to hidden beaches and caves in the area. Instead, Liapades reef is one of the best diving areas with rich marine life and caves worth exploring. Prices for diving sessions start at 70 euros / person and can reach up to 140 euros.
