One of the predominant landmarks of town, the bay of Garitsa may not have a beach but it is a gathering point where locals walk all year round while during the summer months it becomes the gathering point for some of the most exclusive yachts in the World. Sheltered from the summer winds the waters in the bay are very safe and offer good anchorage to any size boat while from the view of the Old Fortress and town make this one of the most desirable yachting destinations not only in Greece but anywhere in Europe.
Right in the centre of the bay there is a small docking area deep enough even for the large tenders of mega yachts and the various local 'kaikia' which take tourist on tours. Located almost at the entrance of Alexandras Ave. which takes you directly to the centre of town makes it a very attractive location for both visitors and locals
