About Askeli - presentation, information, photos and recommendations
The beach is the main attraction: a long strip of sand and fine pebbles, bordered by eucalyptus and pine trees that provide natural shade. The water is clear blue, calm and shallow at the shore, making it ideal for families with children. The village is built in an amphitheatre on a hill full of pine trees. The architecture is typically Greek, with whitewashed houses and tiled roofs, dotted with flower gardens. Unlike the more bustling port of Poros, Askeli has a “continuous holiday” atmosphere, where everything goes at a slow pace.
You’ll find a few places where you can eat fresh fish or traditional dishes (like moussaka or grilled octopus) right by the water.
There are areas with sun loungers and umbrellas where the music is usually muted, keeping the vibe relaxed.
Askeli | Askeli is one of the most popular, organized and beautiful sandy beaches on the island of Poros, located in the Saronic Gulf of Greece.
