Tinos Sky house is located 15 km/ 20 min away from the port and main town of Tinos. It is built on a sloping hill near the fabulous village of Kardiani, facing south west and offering a full view of the Aegean and the island of Syros across.
The village of Kardiani is only 5 minutes by car and 20 minutes on foot on a pedestrian path.
The beaches of Kalyvia and Yiannakis are 5 minutes away by car. These sand
beaches are sheltered from the north wind; Kalyvia has a beach bar and Yiannakis two fish tavernas.
Tinos Sky House is architecturally unique, designed for relaxation and renewal. It is integrated with the surrounding landscape. It has a stunning view out to the sea and up to the sky and guests can look forward to enjoying magnificent sunsets.
Located on the Cycladic island of Tinos with a south west orientation,
it overlooks the Aegean with the slope hugging village of Kardiani
shining white like a jewel on the rocky hill to the right.
It is set within 1.5 acres of private and quiet land.
It has mulberry trees, olive trees, a small organic vegetable patch
and a dry garden with oleanders, geraniums, lavender, thyme,
rosemary, sage and helichrysum.
We are lucky to have a small dripping spring even in dry season
which collects water in a small pond with water lilies.
Tinos Sky House is solar powered.
It is naturally cool in the summer and has
central heating in the winter.
Care has been taken to respect the area’s ecology.
The house has four bedrooms with en suite bathrooms and verandas; a living room with two fireplaces and a library; a large kitchen with an indoor and two outdoor dining spaces; comfortable outside sitting areas and wide verandas.
The lay out was conceived to create a unique communal experience with generous spaces for socializing and with bedrooms accessed separately
through their independent staircases to provide greater privacy.
The shared spaces provide many opportunities for the residents to
comfortably enjoy the house and its panoramic vistas. Whether you wish
to cozily look out at the sea from within the living room, as framed by the balcony entrance, or sit back with a cool drink in your hand in one of the
outdoor areas, while enjoying a prismatic Aegean sunset or a breathtaking
starry sky, the house is designed to accommodate your comfortable stay
and enjoyment of the surrounding natural beauty.
