Authentic local villa is perfect for couples as well as families or small groups of friends looking for a wonderful unique hideaway remover from the world. Absolutely quiet- mountain retreat. We offer a 167m2 sunny family home, in 6.000 m2 of land. For active travel is, at its heart, a way of connecting more authentically with the world.Our house run entirely on solar energy, with lots of olive trees, fruit and vegetable gardens, chickens, geese providing eggs and we happily share with guests. The house is large and beautiful, with a deck off every bedroom and surrounded by olive and pomegranate trees as well as many beautiful flowers. We offer a water filter so you do not need to buy water.

The view is spectacular. If you want to relax and soak up local culture as well as seeing all the sights, this is the place to be. Our location on top of the foothills of the Juchtas mountain means that you have fantastic views across two major mountain ranges, with sunset and sunrise to savor daily, as well as the whole bay of Heraklion. We are near a nature reserve, with plenty of stunning walks to be had straight from the house, and lots of wild birds, hares and the occasional Cretan hedgehog. The area is full of wild flowers, herbs and vegetables which change with the seasons. The road from the village is short but steep, and part of the local color (watch for the sheep grazing by the side of the road). Spend the day driving around and visiting the sights, and come back in the evening to relax with wine and cheese while watching the sun set over the hills.

The house has 4 bedrooms, which sleep 6-8 people, a large living room, 4 bathrooms, and provides generous living space, both inside and out.
