Aris hotel is a family business. It is run since 1988 by the Liatakis family – now in its second generation. The latest renovation of the art hotel took place in the winter of 2015.
During the 2015 renovation, the hotel and room interiors were carefully designed and decorated with excellent art items made by our family’s artists.
Aris hotel is located on the edge of the old town of Paleochora.
In aris hotel we firmly believe in the value of the traditional Cretan diet. The Cretan diet, based in the diet of the Minoan Civilization thousands of years ago, is the basis of the now famous Mediterranean diet. In aris hotel we serve the – certified by the Hellenic Chamber of Hotels – real “Greek Breakfast”, which includes the best local food.
Room types:
Superior double or twin
The 12+1 superior double rooms of Aris Hotel are located in both hotel buildings, being the favorite choice of most visitors. They have been decorated with works by the artist Kostas Liatakis and other local artists.
The view of these rooms varies: Rooms 22, 24, 26 and 28 on the side of the road, have a balcony with sea view, while rooms 21, 23, 25, 27 and 29 are on the side of the hotel’s blooming garden, where besides the view of the greenery, the Paleochora Marina is also visible in the background.
The other 4 superior double rooms are located in the second building of Aris Hotel, where island architecture is prominent. The rooms have entrance from the balcony or the terrace, and they are preferred by families and larger groups, as they share their outdoor spaces with the superior triple rooms of the building.
Superior triple
All 6 superior triple rooms are located in the second building of Aris Hotel, and they are also decorated by artist Kostas Liatakis and other local artists..
The triple rooms 30 and 34 are located on the first floor of the building offering sea and garden views, while the triple rooms 15, 16, 17 and 19 are located on the ground floor with their terraces overlooking the blooming garden of the hotel.
The configuration of the superior triple rooms:
• with three 90 x 200 cm single beds
• with two 90 x 200 cm single beds and one 75 × 195 cm   sofa bed
• with one 160 x 200 cm double bed and one 75 × 195 cm   sofa bed
Economy double or twin on the ground floor
Behind the reception, on the ground floor of the main building and inside the lush gardens, there are the most “cool” rooms of Aris Hotel. With amenities equivalent to the superior rooms, our 5 economy rooms have soft colors and island mood, and are the perfect choice for the hot summer days.
Two-bedroom family suite
The family suite of our hotel is ideal for couples with one or two children and for groups who want more comfort during their stay. The two bedrooms of the suite are connected by an internal door. In the main bedroom there is one 160 x 200 cm double bed and in the second bedroom two 85 x 190 cm single beds.
 
Restaurant:
Certified “Greek Breakfast ” buffet from 7:30 until 11:00, with fresh local products. Breakfast can also be served in the rooms. We also offer early breakfast  service as well as lunch packets.
