Even though the beach is very large and wide, it gets very crowded in high season (July and August). Even so, you can always find plenty of space to spread out on the south end near the castle, and at the other end to the north. As you approach the beach
from the road, the beach to your right is flanked by bars and you can head that way if you prefer more "mingling", beach games, and music. If you want more peace and quiet, head to your left toward the castle, and stay in the middle for the sun beds and parasols.
