Fanari is a small fishing village, secluded, so the tourist objectives are not so many. We can say that the village itself is a tourist destination.
Fanari has several small beaches and a larger beach outside the village, awarded with Blue Flag, where there are beach bars, showers and water sports facilities.
The few taverns and cafes in Fanari are in the port. The port is often visited by tourists, and many choose to leave here on a short visit to the island of Thassos, a few miles southwest.
The accommodation is available in small hotels, rooms for rent and a campsite. Near the campsite, there are beautiful beaches, fine sand, clear water and very little.
Around the village there are some protected lakes where you can see flamingo birds and other birds. Agiоs Niкοlаоs Monastery is 10 km from Fanari and belongs to the Xanthi region.
