Paralia or Paralia Katerinis (meaning "beach'') is a municipality in the eastern part of the prefecture of Pieria. The seat of the municipality is in Kallithea. Paralia is located 4 km E of Katerini, SE of Veria, 70 km S of Thessaloniki and the Makedonia International Airport.

The beach is situated in the Olympian Riviera. Paralia is famous for its hotels, taverns, restaurants, bars and nightclubs (discotheques). Every summer thousands of tourists from all over the world come here on vacation. This place is really unique and breathtaking for any tourtist coming here for the first time and seeing the beautiful seaside on the one hand and the mountains on the other hand.

How to reach :
In Olympus Riviera resorts can be reached by car , a route now very simple and familiar : Ruse - Pleven - Sofia - Kulata Dupnitsa- - Serres - Thessaloniki - Katerini, Thessaloniki and then using highways Kassandra -Athena .

From the west of the country uses a route through Serbia and FYROM , thus circumventing Bulgaria , arriving near Thessaloniki where there are steps to Olympus Riviera .

One can get here by bus , buying packages with transportation included , or using the racing line Romania - Greece, which is held several times a week in various cities of our country .

Another possibility would be more expensive plane to Thessaloniki and then rented car , taxi or local bus routes Ktel to the desired resort . Between Thessaloniki and resorts on the Riviera there are railway.
