Platamonas is a town and sea-side resort in south Pieria prefecture, Central Macedonia, Greece. Platamon has a population of about 1,500 permanent inhabitants. It is bordered by many other resorts on the Riviera as Nei Pori Olympus, Katerini Paralia, Olympic Beach and others. The distance between Athens and resort is 440 km.

Main attractions: Mount Olympus (archaeological site and museum offer a glimpse of the Olympic Games fever and assemble on Ancient Greece), Olympus National Park (an ideal place for tourists keen on hiking) Platamonas Byzantine castle.
The beach is sandy and spacious and the water is shallow, allowing tourists to enjoy the water, either by practicing water sports (swimming, wind surfing, jet skiing, beach volleyball), or by relaxing on the beach.
